Statistics on the Freshman applications for Lowell and Dunster Houses which were announced yesterday indicate that the popularity of the Houses which was evident in the rush for places by members of the Junior and Sophomore classes is fully as great in the ranks of the first year men. Names of those who are admitted will not be known until Saturday.
Of approximately 550 applications received, about 170 will be accepted. There was little choice between the Houses and 61 indicated no preference at all.
The exact number of Engineering School students who will be admitted could not be determined, but it is believed that there will be no more than five or six.
