Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
The fact that the idea of "athletics for all" has taken hold of students of the University seems to be proved by the 873 men who reported for intramural athletics this fall.
Of the six general groups football came first with a total of 250 men reporting for the Class, 150-pound, Dormitory and House teams, and 117 men for touch football.
Gallatin Hall won the Business School championship in touch football while Sigma Alpha Mu. the fraternity champions lost their only game of the season to a championship team from Brown last Friday.
Tennis attracted the second largest number of students with a total of 313 men, the great majority of whom were from the upper classes and took part in the University singles and doubles championships.
Interdormitory rowing came third with 99 men. Track and cross country combined came to a total of 94.
These figures represent the number of men seriously out for some branch of intramural athletics and does not include those that played sporadically throughout the fall.
