C. H. Gallagher, coach of the University grapplers, reviewing the wrestling candidates, declares prospects look bright for the coming season with but three former "H" men missing from the eight weight divisions. The men lost to the team this year are, Nathaniel Warner '30, captain of last year's team, C. D. Newhart '31, and J. F. Solano '30. All three were in the top weight positions, Captain Warner wrestling in the unlimited class.

"Lettermen who have returned to the mat this year seem to be in fine shape," declares Coach Gallagher. F. C. Evans '31, wrestling in the 118 pound class, heads the list followed by Arthur Klein '32, in the 125 pound class, H. R. Eisas, '32, 135 pound class, R. K. Safford '31, 145 pound class, and W. A. Newhart, elected captain of this year's mat-men, has not appeared as a candidate for the wrestling team and a new captain will be elected in the near future.

Elimination Bouts Soon

Eliminations in Preparation for the first meet of the season with Norwich on January 10, will start on December 17.

Last year's Freshman team, intercollegiate champions, are showing up well and may replace former lettermen. P.C. Johnson '33, captain of the former Freshmen, wrestling in the 135 pound class has shown excellent form. His team-mates that have put in appearance for this season's run are J. N. Crandon '33, in the 145 pound class, O. E. Goddard '33, 155 pound class and A. L. Bronstein '33 in the 125 pound class. In accordance with the University policy of athletics for all, this department has been greatly enlarged and there is still room for candidates.
