According to Coach Reny Peroy, Harvard this year will be a strong contender in the Intercollegiate Fencing Association. This league includes Harvard, Army, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Hamilton, M. I. T., Navy, New York University, Ohio State, Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale.

Last year, although placing fourth, Harvard was but one point from the winners, Army and Yale. This is the second year of Coach Peroy's regime, and with an intact team of seven men returning, indications of a successful season are high.

The men returning are: Captain H. C. Cassidy '31, Henry Wesselman '31, J. D. Allen, Jr. '31, R.B. Lawson '32, Clark Winter '31, J.L. Mackin '32, and F.C. Flechter '32. According to Peroy, H. B. Veatch, Jr. '32, Charles Brenner '32, and I. T. Moran '32, have shown improvement and are strong contenders for positions on the team. Last year's Freshman team is sending some valuable material. Among them are K. R. Ludlam '33, who last year won the New England junior saber championship, H. S. Walker '33, Gilbert Kerlin '33, and M. G. Yatsevitch '33.

Those interested in fencing will have an opportunity to see an exhibition in the fencing room of the Indoor Athletic Building on Friday, December 12, at 8.30 o'clock. Notables engaging in this exhibition are E.L. Lane '24, and his twin brother, former captain E.H. Lane '24, who were members of the team that captured the Intercollegiate Fencing Championship in 1924. As a further attraction, Coach Peroy, former Olympic and European star, will meet Robert Grasson, fencing coach at Yale.
