BROOKS HOUSE TO GIVE TWO CHRISTMAS PARTIES

USUAL CHRISTMAS NIGHT OPEN HOUSE WILL BE HELD

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Several announcements were made at Phillips Brooks House yesterday concerning the annual Christmas party for Children, the Brooks House Association dinner, and the Christmas night open house.

This afternoon at 3 o'clock the Phillips Brooks House Association will entertain 35 children in the Brooks House living-room. The children have been recommended to the Association by the Cambridge Welfare Union, as being those who would not otherwise enjoy the Christmas holidays. The Welfare Union has been able to contribute valuable statistics on what is lacking to each child so that the Phillips Brooks House will be able to provide them with needed clothing in addition to the usual toys.

R. C. Cartwright will entertain the children with feats of sleight-of-hand, while F. H. Bucks '31 has been offered by the Student Entertainment Bureau to play the piano for the occasion. Refreshments are to be provided.

Brooks House Dinner for Workers

Tonight at 6 o'clock in the Assembly Room at the Union the members of the Phillips Brooks House Association will hold the first of a series of monthly dinners, for the purpose of bringing the various departments and committees together.

On Christmas night the annual "open house" will be kept at Phillips Brooks House, with a Christmas tree in the evening. Refreshments will be served, while H. W. Clark '23, secretary of the Alumni Association, will show the Harvard Film, a series of moving-picture snapshots conducted under the auspices of the Harvard Film Foundation.
