Showing unexpected strength, the 1934 soccer team held the undefeated Andover eleven to a 1 to 1 tie yesterday afternoon at Andover.
Andover scored early in the opening period when Upton tallied from scrimmage. During the first half, the school team used better teamwork, and kept the ball in Harvard's territory for the greater part of the time. After the intermission however, the Freshmen with the better goal to defend, exhibited an improved offense, and tied the score shortly before the end of the game when R. M. Gummere Jr. '34 tallied on a corner kick. Neither team could score in the overtime.
