The Dunster Economic Society, a group composed of students interested in Economics who are residents of Dunster House, will hold its first meeting tomorrow night at 7.30 o'clock.
This organization is the first of its kind to come into existence since the advent of the House Plan. The group, which is advised by E. S. Mason, assistant professor and tutor in the division of History, Government and Economics, is temporarily in charge of a committee composed of Moses Abramowitz '32, S. D. Pollard '32, and L. D. Marquis ocC.
The group will meet weekly in the small common room of the House on Tuesday evenings, when individual members will talk on topics of general interest and importance. A discussion will follow the talks, in which all members will participate. The first meeting will be featured by a discussion of the affect of industrial society on individual character. The second meeting, which will take place on Tuesday, December 2, will offer a discussion of present unemployment.
Because of its informal nature, the group must necessarily be limited to a small number of members. Only residents of Dunster House therefore, are eligible. Future meetings will be attended by visiting professors, several of whom have already indicated their intention of coming.
