Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The injury jinx which has been appearing and reappearing on the Harvard scene all year returned yesterday again and sent two of the Crimson players out of the game. Talbot, first string guard, and Faxon, tackle and center, were both hurt and will be out of the game for one and two weeks respectively.
Talbot was injured in the scrimmage with the Freshmen yesterday after having been back on the University roster for less than a week. He was hurt about ten days before last Saturday's games but managed to recover in time to play a few minutes in the closing period of the Coast Guard tilt. The injury suffered in yesterday's workout will force him to remain out of the Springfield game this coming week-end.
Two Centers Left
Faxon received his bruise in the scrimmage with the seconds on Monday but did not report it until yesterday. He is the third one of Harvard's centers to have been forced out of the game so far this year, Cunningham being out for the entire season with a broken ankle suffered a week ago, and Gildea just recovering from a severe aggravation sustained in the first few days of practice. Faxon, originally, was a tackle but was shifted to the pivot post when both Cunningham and Gildea were lost to the squad. Only Captain Ticknor and Hallowell remain as centers.
In the scrimmage with the Freshmen yesterday the University team ran up two touchdowns and negotiated two points after touchdown to get a 14 to 0 triumph. The Freshmen played doggedly and twice kept the University forces from scoring when they had the ball within the 20-yard line. Pescosolido, at halfback, and Lockwood, at center, stood out for the Freshmen in their first real scrimmage of the year.
Score by Lateral Pass
Team A started for the University squad and in about eight plays had pushed over a score. A Devens to Wood lateral and rushes by Schereschewsky and Devens had placed the ball on the eight yard line where Wood took another lateral from Devens and went over for the score. Devens place kicked the goal. The B team scored the second touchdown later on in the one-hour workout when Greely ran 20 yards after having taken a lateral from Fullam. Leonard kicked the point after touchdown.
Kales, Gildea, and Mays were all on the field but did not take part in the scrimmage. The lineups follow:
Team A: Harding l.e., Richards l.t., Trainer l.g., Ticknor c., Warner, Talbot r.g., Upton r.t., Ogden r.e., Wood q.b., Record l.h., Devens r.h., Schereschewsky f.b.
Team B: Hageman, Graves, Reisner l.e., Trafford l.t., Bancroft l.g., Hallowell c., Ginman, Finlayson r.g., Kuehn r.t., Moushegian, Baldwin r.e., Huguley, Leonard, q.b., Batchelder, Greely l.h., Forbes r.h., Leonard, Fullam f.b.
