TEA

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The spirit of the House Plan has revealed itself in many ways, but in few as satisfactorily as the proposed tea dance Freshman after the Michigan game. For many first year men it will fulfill no definite need, but there are others who will welcome the idea. To those who have come from far away or from small schools in the East and who as a result have found Harvard a bit impersonal and bewildering, this dance will offer a very desirable hospitality.

It is useless to point to numerous individual cases of men who have failed at Harvard because they did not orient themselves in its rather complex existence, and then to hope that this tea dance will eradicate that evil. But it should do something to create a more aimiable and friendly atmosphere for the occasional isolated and friendless freshman.
