A rumor from New York appearing in one of the metropolitan newspapers yesterday morning and reprinted in several Boston papers yesterday afternoon to the effect that E. L. Casey '20, of the University football coaching staff will take the place of Arnold Horween '21 as head coach of the Harvard eleven next year was definitely denied by William J. Bingham '16, director of athletics.
"As far as I know, Arnold Horween is head coach of football at Harvard, and if there is any chance of his returning next year, believe me I will go after it," said Bingham. "Until then we are making no announcements of any change in the Harvard football coaching staff."
