Definite steps in connection with the formation of a Harvard swimming team will be taken tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, when Coach H. S. Ulen will meet all candidates for the aquatic team in the special exercise room of the Indoor Athletic Building. This meeting will include candidates for both Freshman and University squads, and will be merely an organization get-together, the first real workout to come Monday.

According to Coach Ulen, the first month will be devoted to work on the gym floor, with occasional practice sessions in the new pool. This preliminary gym work, which is a preseason training that is in use in all the large colleges today, will be under the joint supervision of Coach Ulen and N. W. Fradd, director of the building.

Since this year swimming at Harvard is being reorganized after a lapse of years, Coach Ulen expects to keep a large squad throughout the season, in order that he may select a strong team for the five University meets that have been scheduled. The season will start January 9, when the untried Crimson natators will meet Bowdoin. Other meets throughout the winter have been arranged with Army, Syracuse, and Yale, all meets to be held in Cambridge with the exception of the Army contest. For the Freshman team five meets have been scheduled. The first year swimmers will travel away from Cambridge to meet Andover, Exeter, and the Yale Freshmen, while contests with first year teams of Brown and Dartmouth will take place here.
