Thirty-two of the 56 candidates competing for positions on the debating squad in the first two trials have been retained, it was announced yesterday by E. M. Rowe 3L, Debating Council Coach. A third trial will be held at the Harvard Union from 3 to 6 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, with candidates speaking on either side of a proposition chosen by them. The squad will then be cut to 20 men.
