TWELVE SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS ANNOUNCED

MEMBER OF CLASS OF 1930 WILL STUDY IN FRANCE

The award of twelve graduate scholarships will be announced at University Hall this morning. Five of the scholarships bring students to Harvard from other countries, and one enables a graduate of Harvard in the class of 1930 to study at a French university.

Teodoro Schlossberg, M.D., is the first holder of the Harvard-University of Buenos Aires Fellowship founded by the Associated Harvard Clubs in 1928. He will do research work at the Harvard Medical School.

Jean Francois Dufios of Paris, France, is announced as the holder of the Stillman Scholarship, which provides for a student from France to study at Harvard. He will study in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. H. D. Ursell of Cambridge, England, will hold the Choate Memorial Fellowship, founded in memory of Ambassador Joseph Hodges Choate. The award is made annually to a candidate nominated by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge.

Kawakami in France

Clarke H. Kawakami '30, of Washington, D. C., holder of the Ecole Libre des Sciences Politiques Fellows! up for study in France. Two research fellows from abroad have been chosen for study at the Harvard Law School. They are Sherman J. K. Chang of Nanking, China, and Wolfgang Kraus of Bad Homburg, Germany.

Dr. Benjamin M. Squires of Chicago, Illinois, is announced as the holder of the Wertheim Fellowship, for research in labor problems. Dr. Squires is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, and holds the degree of Ph.D. from Columbia University.

Ralph McBurney of the University of Alabama is announced as the holder of a Research Fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Four scholarship holders have been named in the Harvard Law School; three for the Sidney Thompson Fairchild Scholarships, a fourth for the Reuben B. Hutchcraft Memorial Scholarship. The holders are Nathan Davis, of Arlington, New Jersey; Joseph V. Crockett, Jr., of Nashville, Tennessee; and William M. Marvel '30, of West Medford, for the Fairchild Scholarships; and Maurice Abrams, of Providence, Rhode Island, for the Hutchcraft Scholarship.
