MUSICAL CLUB TO HOLD OPENING MEETING TODAY

As it meets for the first time this season, the Musical Club of Harvard University will hear a discussion of "The Organ" led by King Covell. The Club will meet in the Musical Club room in the Music Building at 8.15 o'clock tonight. All members of the University professing an appreciative interest in musical affairs are invited to attend.

Indications of the program for the year were given out by Alex Saron '31, president of the Club, after a meeting of the executive committee. Several musicians of note have intimated that they would accept invitations from the Club to address its meetings. All phases of musical activity will be represented on the year's schedule by composers, orchestral conductors, solo artists and performers, and scholars. Instructors in the University will take an active part in the presentation of programs. Students, also, will perform classic and modern work on modern and antiquated instruments. Interest in composition will be encouraged by the rendition of new compositions by students and instructors. A definite schedule of speakers and subjects of informal discussion will be announced later.
