UNIVERSITY RIDERS ARE TO FACE FREEBOOTERS

Harvard's horsemen will engage in a match at the Commonwealth Armory this evening in which they will find their coach opposing them. Coach Sharp, who usually guides the Harvard malletmen during a game, will have an opportunity to test his charges in action.

Having taught the Harvard men their polo. Sharp knows their style and the outcome of the match will depend largely upon the resourcefulness of the Harvard team which is weakened by the absence of Captain Gerry from the lineup. F. A. Clark '29, captain of the Harvard riders last winter, organized the Freebooters and usually is in their lineup but has been kept out of the game for two weeks on account of an operation.

It is expected that Gerry will be back in the saddle for the next match, with the Lancers, next Saturday. His absence has materially weakened the Harvard horsemen to such an extent that they are far behind in the competition for the league championship.

The first two Saturdays in February the team will oppose the Army, first at West Point, then a return match in Boston. Over the week-end of Washington's birthday the riders will journey to Cleveland and Cincinnati, March 1, in Boston and March 15, at New Haven, are the dates set for the Yale matches this year.
