8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Trials for the Freshman debating squad were held yesterday afternoon in Holden Chapel, the following men being retained: J. B. Gilbert '33, W. A. McGivney '33, A. G. Malkan '33, and E. W. Fuller, Jr. '33.
The four men retained will form a temporary executive committee acting for the Freshman Debating Council. They will do the managerial work connected with the arranging of a schedule of debates and when a sufficient number of contests have been arranged a call for more candidates will be made. The latter will make up the teams and later in the season an election of permanent officers for the Freshman Debating Council will be held. Celian Ufford '19, assistant professor of English, will have general supervision of the Freshman debating while P. C. Reardon '32 and R. B.
