Professor Charles Howard McIlwain, Eaton Professor of the Science of Government at Harvard, has been appointed Harvard Lecturer in History at Yale for the first term of the academic year 1930-31.
The Harvard Lectures were established at Yale in 1905 by an anonymous Harvard graduate to obtain members of the Harvard Faculty to give lectures at Yale.
McIlwain, whose book "The American Revolution" won the Pulitzer Prize in History in 1923, has been a member of the Harvard Faculty since 1911, and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
