HARVARD FLYING CLUB PLANS TO EXTEND SEASON TO JULY 1

The decision of the Harvard Flying Club to continue regular flying practice this year until the first of July marks an innovation in the policy of the Club, according to announcement made yesterday by I. T. Williams '30, recently elected president of the organization. Formerly the flying was discontinued at the close of the Examination Period, but sufficient interest has been evidenced this year to warrant an extension of the customary season.

The ship is at present being overhauled, and it is planned to turn it in early in the fall, when another plane will be purchased, a Travelair like the old one, but somewhat more expensive, which, it is expected, will be kept by the Club for several years. The new plane will be flown by members of the Club to Boston from Wichita, Kansas, the home of the manufacturers, early in the fall. Those who will probably make the trip are H. P. Moon '32 and H. H. Timken '31, both experienced pilots.
