HARVARDIANS TO MAKE SUMMER EUROPEAN TRIP

The Harvardians, well-known undergraduate jazz band, will make an extensive tour of Scandanavia and Germany this summer, it was announced last night by Roy Lamson '29, leader and manager of the orchestra.

The band will embark on the S. S. Hellig Olav sailing on June 21 for Copenhagen. An engagement to furnish music on the ship both going and coming has been entered into.

After landing in Sweden the Harvardians will make their headquarters at the Chateau Lerchenborg in the environs of Copenhagen. They will remain at that point for some three weeks, furnishing music and entertainment, before setting out on their journey on the road.

Once they have left Copenhagen they intend to cover in part Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and venture into Germany. Engagements have been made to do a large number of various kinds of jobs including theatre contracts, convention work, and dance music all along the way.

The orchestra plans to return to Copenhagen by the first day of September when it is scheduled to start the home trip.

The personnel of the band as far as has been decided is as follows: F. L. Anderson '29, tuba; G. W. Briggs '31, piano; James Marshall '31, trumpet; C. W. Eiseman '30, banjo; A. C. Ingraham '31, saxophone and clarinet; J. G. Douglas '31, saxophone; S. W. Burbank '29, trumpet and xylophone; and Roy Lamson '29, saxophone and clarinet.
