Dividing the singles and taking two out of three doubles matches, the Harvard University tennis team defeated the Yale netmen at New Haven Saturday by the narrow margin of 5 to 4. It was the twelfth consecutive victory for Captain B. H. Whitbeck's team, but it was earned only after some intensive struggles with the Blue racquet wielders.

Singles--Ryan (Y) defeated B. H. Whitbeck '29, 6-2, 6-3; Luce (Y) defeated Arthur Ingraham '30, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5; W. L. Breese '31 defeated Pittman (Y), 6-1, 2-6, 6-4; Holloway (Y) defeated J. B. Ward '30, 7-5, 6-4; J. L. Ware '30 defeated Cox (Y), 6-4, 6-4; R. L. Tower '31 defeated Todd (Y), 6-3, 5-7, 6-1.
Doubles--Whitbeck and Ingraham defeated Ryan and Luce (Y), 6-4, 6-2; Breese and J. G. Douglas '31 defeated Holloway and Cox (Y), 6-4, 6-4; Baldwin and Pittman (Y) defeated Tower and F. K. Trask '30, 6-2, 6-4.

The University Second tennis team closed their season by defeating Yale at New Haven, taking five of the nine matches.
