New Haven, Conn., May 22--The Yale track team is favored to win Saturday's meet, the margin of victory being based upon the Blue team's superiority in the field events, according to forecasts made here tonight.
While it concedes first and second in the broad jump to French and Rowe of Harvard, and expects Moore and Harding of the Crimson to take the first two places in the javelin, the Blue is looking for a clean sweep in the pole vault and discus throw with Sturdy and Captain Brandenburg winning these last two events.
O'Gorman is Yale's best shot putter, but is expecting a close fight for victory. Dopesters here pick Wolfe to win the high jump and Conner to take the hammer throw. A close contest is expected between Alcock of Harvard and Stewart of Yale for the remaining places in this latter event, however.
