Finlay Gets Low Card for the Day's Play With a 73--Conditions are Excellent for the Match

In a match played at the Weston Country Club yesterday afternoon the University golf team defeated the B. U. players 8 to 1.

Conditions were excellent with scarcely any wind, and as a result several good scores for the difficult course were turned in. Phillips Finlay '31, playing number one man on the Harvard team, was low man for the day, getting a 73 in his match with Chesley whom he defeated 6 and 5.

Two-somes: Finlay defeated Chesley (B.U.), 6 and 5; W. P. Arnold Jr. '31 defeated Knowles (B.U.) 5 and 4; E. B. Murphy '31 defeated Freiter (B.U.), 6 and 5; J. B. Baldwin '31 defeated Kellogg (B.U.), 3 and 2; J. W. Filoon '29 defeated Jolly (B.U.), 4 and 3; Gerry (B.U.) defeated D. M. Proud-foot '30, 2 and 1.

Four-somes: Finlay and Arnold defeated Chesley and Knowles (B.U.), 4 and 3; Murphy and Baldwin defeated Freiter and Kellogg (B.U.), 6 and 4; Filoon and Proudfoot defeated Jolly and Gerry, 1 up.
