STICKMEN WILL BATTLE WITH SPRINGFIELD TODAY

Lacrosse Team Favored to Win Match on Business School Field--Only One Defeat for Crimson Team

At 3 o'clock this afternoon the Harvard lacrosse team encounters the Springfield stickmen on the Business School Field. A comparison of the records of the two teams makes Harvard a decided favorite in the skirmish.

The Crimson enters the contest with a slate of two victories, one defeat, and a single tie. To start the season Harvard triumphed over the Alumni team, but during the spring recess the Crimson stickmen were trounced by Union College. Cornell met defeat at Harvard's hands last Saturday, and in a practice game on Tuesday the University tied with the Boston Lacrosse Club aggregation.

Springfield has suffered two defeats this year; the Boston Lacrosse Club won from the Gymnasts by a score of 8 to 2, and St. Stephens College triumphed to the tune of 8 points to 3.
