As the result of trials held yesterday in Holden Chapel, P. J. Bove '29, Brooks Otis '29 and J. M. swigert '30 were chosen to represent Harvard in the debate with Boston College which will take place in Symphony Hall on March 21.
All three men are veteran speakers, having taken part in at least one major debate. They are being coached in preparation for the debate by Professor Zechariah Chaffee L.L.B. '13 of the Harvard Law School and other Law School professors. Harvard will argue the affirmative and Boston College the negative of the death penalty be abolished in "Massachusetts."
Announcement was also made of the appointment of J. K. Beard '30, former assistant-manager as manger, succeeding Lynwood Bryant '29.
