COLLEGE OFFICIATING IS SUBJECT FOR CONVENTION

At 1.15 o'clock on Saturday 25 athletic directors of various New England universities and colleges will gather at the Harvard Club in Boston for the purpose of discussing ways and means of improving the officiating at the college basketball games next year.

It is hoped that at this meeting, which was proposed by H. W. Clark '23, arrangements will be made whereby certain referees will officiate only at university games. Clark pointed out there is a great difference between refereeing a college game and refereeing a schoolboy game and that the best solution to the problem of better officiating and subsequent speeding up of the game is to have certain men referee only college games.
