8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Holding its first regular practice scrimmage last Saturday, the University Lacrosse Team showed a clever, shifty aggregation that should be well prepared for its initial game on April 6 with the Harvard Graduates Team.
Coach Madison Sayles '27 divided the squad into two groups, "Reds" and "Whites", and in a rather one-sided contest, the "Reds" were victorious by a 4 to 1 score. H. M. Hartnett '30, promising captain of the team, starred for the winners.
Under the direction of Coach Sayles, assisted by F. F. Gamache 2G B, the squad has been working out daily on the old polo field, behind the Business School. Special attention has been given to developing good stickwork and various plays are being tried out. A training table for 25 players will be organized at the Union after the spring recess.
In order to stimulate added interest in lacrosse, the H. A. A. has announced that at the end of the season two special H. A. A. medals will be awarded, one to the member of the team who scores the greatest number of points during the season, and the other to the man whose opponents score least against him.
