Hemenway Gymnasium will be the scene on Friday and Saturday of this week of the Annual New England Intercollegiate Wrestling Tournament which was held last year at Tufts College in Medford. For four consecutive years Harvard has won the title which will be at stake, but Tufts and Brown rule as close contenders to take the championship from the Crimson. M. I. T. and Williams are the other institutions entered in the competition.
Harvard will go into the competition with two title holders in its ranks J. H. Burns '29 triumphed in the 125-pound class last year, and Joseph Lifrak '29, captain of this year's mat team, was champion in the 135-pound class. Lifrak has put on weight, how ever, and will be an aspirant for the 145-pound title in this week's meet The Harvard lineup, with one exception, will be the same as that which has been used during the latter part of the season. C. G. Chase '30 will be replaced in the 115-pound class by M. O. Gibeon '29 owing to scholastic difficulties encountered by the former.
