Nine University Racquetmen Enter Race for Title--First Round Closes Thursday

Nine Harvard men are entered in the Massachusetts State Class C squash tournament, the draws for which were recently made public.

Among these are three members of Harvard University Team C, including Caleb Cauman '29, D. F. Davis '30, and Burton Richardson '29. Four members of the Freshman team that recently won the championship of Class C in the Massachusetts State team competition are signed up for this tournament. They are Beckman Pool '32, A. W. Patterson '32, F. O. Canfield '32, and P. G. Livermore '32.

Other Harvard men among the '62 entries are Donald Gay '30, and T. D. Mumford '29.

The competition is being conducted under the direction of the University Club, and all first round matches must be played on or before Thursday.

Quarter-final, semi-final, and final matches are to take place on the University Club courts. All other matches may be played where most convenient for contestants. The best three out of five games will mark the winner of all matches, and the new official ball will be used.

Players whose opponents are unable to play by the dates specified are expected to notify the tournament committee at the University Club Otherwise matches not played will be decided by draw.
