On Saturday afternoon in the Living Room of the Union, the Harvard Freshman chess team, playing together for the first time, defeated decisively a team from Exeter. Led by Captain Ordway Southard '32, the Freshmen won three matches and lost but one, the fifth encounter developing into a draw.
