Grapplers Overwhelmed by Second Team

The Freshman squash team moved into second place in the State Class C squash racquets interclub tournament by defeating the Union Boat Club Saturday afternoon by a score of 5 to 0.

The 1931 racquetmen have a bare chance of taking the league crown but it is almost certain that it will be won by the Newton Centre Squash Racquets Club.

In Saturday's contest between the Freshmen and the Union Boat Club the individual matches were extremely close although the final outcome was a clean sweep for the 1931 men.

The summary: Harvard 1931 defeated Union Boat Club 5 to 0. Ogden Phipps '31 defeated E. S. Read, 17-14, 15-12, 8-15, 15-13. C. D. Breckinridge '31 defeated H. W. Porter, 16-15, 15-5, 14-15, 15-10. A. C. Ingraham '31 defeated A. O. Barker, 6-15, 9-15, 15-6, 15-16, 15-12. R. R. Stebbins '31 defeated S. L. Beals, 15-12, 15-10, 15-8. M. D. Wheelock '31 defeated R. T. Young, 12-15, 17-16, 7-15, 17-16, 19-18.
