"No report of the plans of the Tercentenary Commission would be complete were we to forget our debt to President Lowell," said Herbert Parker '78 yesterday, chairman of the commission appointed by the governor to prepare plans for the tercentennial celebration of the establishment of the Massachusetts Bay Colony.

"Mr. Lowell has been our constant adviser, ever willing to assist the commission in the preparation of plans where our knowledge of the historical field was limited, and his was complete. His assistance and wholehearted co-operation has in large measure made the report of the commission possible."
