ART SOCIETY DISPLAYS AMERICAN CARTOONS

Exhibition by Harvard Society of Contemporary Art Opens Today in Rooms of Organization

Opening today a display of the works of American cartoonists and caricaturists, the Harvard Society of Contemporary Art will continue the exhibition until December 20. Included among the exhibits are examples of wire sculpture by Alexander Calder and glass figures designed by other noted contemporary artists.

There are 113 original drawings and a few lithographs now being shown, and several more are expected. Among the more popular artists represented are Bud Fisher, Miguel Covarrubias, John Held, Jr., Gluyas Williams, and D. T. Carlisle.

The exhibition is being held in the rooms of the Society, and will be open to the public from 10 o'clock until 6 o'clock on week days. The following artists are represented:

Aladjalow, Peter Arno, Peggy Bacon, Bruce Bairnsfather, Ralph Barton, Franklin Collier, Miguel Covarrubias, Adolph Dehni Do Miskey, Ding, Leonard Dove, Fruch, Bud Fisher, Haupt, John Held, Jr., Helen E. Hoskinson, Rea Irvin, Karass, Rollin Kirby, Kronengold, Edward Nagle, Alan Odie, Gardner Rea, Gluyas Williams, Alexander Calder, and D. T. Carlisle.

Among those who have lent drawings in their possession for this occasion are: The New Yorker, Mr. F. Crowninshield and the CRIMSON.
