CREW SCHEDULE SHOWS SEVERAL INNOVATIONS

H. A. A. ANNOUNCES RECIPIENTS OF CROSS COUNTRY AWARDS

Four races this spring complete the schedule approved for the University crew by the Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports. The Jayvees will also engage with the second crews of the same colleges.

M. I. T. again opens the season with a race against the Crimson crews on April 26. Harvard, Navy, Pennsylvania, and M. I. T. all compete in a quadrangular regatta on the Charles river on May 17. The following Saturday the crew will make a trip to Ithaca where a race will be held with Cornell and Syracuse. The Yale regatta will complete the season on June 20 at New London. In addition, the third University crew will compete in the American Rowing Association Regatta at Philadelphia on May 31, while a crew composed of University and Freshman substitutes will meet the Yale combination crew at New London on June 19.

The Athletic Committee also announced the award of various athletic insignia. N. P. Hallowell '32 and Captain R. C. Aldrich '31, of the cross country team, who placed first and third respectfully against Yale were voted the major track "H".

The minor sport "H" was awarded to Manager Stuyvesant Barry '31, G. N. Barrie '32, S. Burr '31, and J. M. Fox '32, also of the cross country team.

Of the Freshman team, Captain Arthur Foote, F. D. Murphy, and R. P. Wesley received class numerals, while N. P. Dodge, J. T. Rughes, and Manager L. W. Suyder '32 were awarded minor sport numerals.
