SPEEDY QUINTET DOWNS B. U. RIVALS

Aggressive Work of Crimson Guards Dazzles Terrier Forwards While Wenner Flashes on Offense.

With one of the smallest, lightest, and fastest basketball teams it has put on the court in recent years, Harvard outplayed the Boston University quintet to win by a 44 to 24 score in the Hemenway Gymnasium last night.

The game was speedy from start to finish and Harvard, besides displaying a concentrated offensive power, also showed a formidable defense. The tall B. U. forwards were able to garner but seven goals from field, the remainder of their points being made via the foul line. In their efforts to keep down the score Harvard guards were a bit overzealous as is shown by the number of personal fouls chalked up against them. The game, however, was not marred by unnecessary roughness.

Coach Wachter's charges started off in a hurry to run up their large total and didn't let up throughout the game. Despite the fact that a few set-up shots were missed and other early-season misplays cropped up Harvard's play was practically up to mid-season form.

Captain Wenner led the scoring for both fives rolling up 18 points, six less than the B. U. total, by virtue of seven field goals and four free throws. He was the Crimson's offensive star throughout and also contributed to the defense. Captain Nims, the Terrier right forward, scored the majority of his team's points by caging four field goals along with two foul shots.
