Under the direction of the new coach, Clifford Gallagher, the winter wrestling season will be definitely started by a meeting at 3 o'clock on Monday in the Wrestling Room of Hemenway Gymnasium. Due to the exigencies of his position as trainer of the 1933 football team. Coach Gallagher has been unable to attend any of the informal workouts which have been going on for the past two weeks.
After the rather disasterous defeat by Yale last year the season does not look very promising as far as ready material goes. But with the return of J. F. Solano '30 after a year's absence, and with a number of likely candidates in the heavy-weight divisions there should be possibilities of a creditable team.
Captain Nathaniel Warner '30 and C. N. Levine '30 should turn in a number of victories in their respective classes. The lighter weights, which have always been something of a problem at Harvard, will doubtless cause trouble again this year. Last year's Freshman team, however, may furnish some material to strengthen this division.
Coach Gallagher comes with rather an impressive athletic record from Kansas State Agricultural College. He has had previous experience as a coach for track, football, and basketball teams, as well as having won the collegiate wrestling championship in the 145-pound class.
