When the University polo team starts indoor practice during the first week of December, Coach F. D. Sharp will be forced to begin the development of a new team to replace the champions of last year. E. T. Gerry '31, captain of this year's team is the only letter man to return, but four of the Freshman players from the past season will be available. The University squad consists of E. T. Gerry '31, H. I. Nicholas '31, Crispin Cooke '32, A. L. Castle '32, W. F. Luton '32, N. W. Kimball '32, P. L. Richards '30, R. K. Leonard '31, P. S. Owen '32, and G. G. Holden '31. Cooke, Castle, Luton and Kimball were members of their Freshman team.

Fall work has been carried on back of the Business School, with three practices a week since the last outdoor game. The two squads have had one informal game each this fall, the University team defeating the Danvers Polo Club on October 30, 11 to 4, the Freshman losing to Andover, 10 to 5.

The winter schedule includes the regular games in the Boston Indoor League for the University, Junior University, and Freshman teams, 'which will take place on alternate Saturdays in December. After the midyear period the team will play several games outside of Cambridge. On February 8 they will play West Point there, followed by a return game here on February 15. A western trip will see the team meet the 107th Cavalry in Cleveland February 21, and Cincinnati Riding Club in Cincinnati on February 22. On March 1 the team will meet Yale here, with a return game in New Haven on March 15.

No definite lineup exists, the idea for fall work being that various playing combinations will be tested. Practice will stop the week before the Yale game, and will reopen early in December.

The Freshman squad of eight has five men who have played polo before. Those listed now include F. S. Nicholas '33, John Drum '33, St. John Smith '33, C. N. Bliss '33, B. E. Butcher '33, T. B. Eastland '33, Walter Wetten '33, and J. T. Nute '33.
