LANGUAGE RULES FOR A.M. DEGREE REVISED
Graduate Students in School of Arts and Sciences Benefited
Language requirements for the A. M. degree in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences have undergone revision, it has been announced by L. S. Maya '10, assistant dean of the School, the new rules to be effective this year.
Formerly all candidates for the Master's degree were required to have an elementary knowledge of French and German, but under the new plan the graduate school rules will conform with those of the College.
The change has been made in accordance with the policy of the graduate schools to tighten up in their requirements. The majority of students in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, however, in contrast to those in the Department of History, will take their examinations with College students when the regular reading tests are given.
