STATE GUESTS FOR MILITARY BALL ARE ANNOUNCED TODAY

President Coolidge Extends Greetings on First Military Occasion

The state guests at the Harvard Military Ball will be Governor and Mrs. Allen, and Lieutenant-Governor and Mrs. W. S. Youngman, while the University guests will be President and Mrs. Lowell, according to an announcement issued by the Dance Committee last night. The national guests are to be announced at a later date.

Approximately 700 applications have been mailed to the students of the Harvard and Yale military and naval units and a more limited number to graduates and military guests. Members of the graduate schools who hold R. O. T. C. commissions and who desire to attend the dance are requested to communicate with the chairman of the Dance Committee, Holworthy 9, Cambridge.

Ruby Newman's orchestra will furnish the music for the occasion.

In the mail which was received late yesterday afternoon from guests, and state and national officials was included a letter from the White House, extending the best wishes of President Coolidge for the complete success of the first Annual Harvard Military Dance.
