At the first fall practice yesterday, 27 candidates for the Lacrosse teams reported to Freshman coach H. L. Lane '28.

University Coach Madison Sayles '27 is coaching the backfield of the football team and consequently will not be able to give much time to Lacrosse until next spring. Practice this fall will be held regularly, however, under Coach Lane. A five game schedule will be arranged, if enough interest is aroused.

The second assistant managerial competition, open to all Sophomores will begin on October 1, to last through fall practice, and the first three weeks of spring practice. Candidates report to the Lacrosse room. Soldiers Field, Monday at 3.30 o'clock.
