A representative group of Harvard students will attend the Northfield Student Conference at East Northfield from June 15 to 23, at which men from several New England colleges and universities are to meet for discussions of problems of interest to college men.

The Harvard men who will be delegates to the conference are; Winslow Carlton '29, M. A. Cheek Jr. '26, Gordon Huggins '29, R. S. Holden '29, J. H. Lane '28, G. H. Norris '29, O. R. Rice 3 E.T.S., K. D. Robinson '29, D. P. Tucker '29, and C. M. Underhill '31.

Among the speakers who will address the conference are Oswald Garrison Villard '93, editor of the Nation, Kirby Page, editor of The World Tomorrow, and Professor H. H. Tweedy of the Yale Divinity School. Various other men prominent in social work are also included in the list of speakers who will be present for the week of discussion.

One of the most important activities of the conference is the formation of discussion groups which deal with problems in much the same way as does the Williams conference on world affairs which has been active for several years. Each group takes one topic a day, and under the leadership of a group chairman thoroughly investigates the subject.

Tentative plans call for discussion of topics related to international relations, American politics, problems of industry, modern education, and religious questions. Students will take a leading part in these discussions, with authorities present for conference and advice.

Included in the program of the conference are many lighter diversions to break up the serious work of the meeting. Athletics will be participated in each afternoon, with Coach William Wood of Wesleyan in charge. Baseball, swimming, and tennis are planned. Music and stunt performances also play a part in the conference program.
