The University lacrosse combination suffered defeat at the hands of the Pennsylvania twelve. Saturday afternoon on Soldiers Field, by a 5 to 3 score. Despite the fact that the Harvard team has won only one game this year out of seven played, the Crimson forces showed the best form of the season.
After tying the score at the end of the first period, 3 to 3, the home team held the Quakers in check until the closing minutes. Then Edwards broke up the game by scoring two goals in rapid succession.
C. D. McQuaid '28 led the Crimson with two tallies; the third University goal was registered by J. C. Dreier '28, first attack.
At Providence, the first year stickmen conquered the Brown freshmen Saturday, 7 to 2, with L. H. Gulick, '31 the high scorer of the game with three goals to his credit.
