HARVARD GOLFERS TRIUMPH IN CLOSE MATCH WITH WILLIAMS

Two Games Taken on Extra Green in 6 to 3 Victory

The Williams links forces yielded to the Crimson golfers 6 to 3 in a closely contested match played Saturday afternoon on the course of the Weston Golf Club.

The two feature matches of the day were won on the nineteenth green and three of the others were taken by a one hole advantage. The rival captains, J. A. Hutchinson '28 and Blaney of Williams, fought on even terms for eighteen holes, but the Crimson leader missed his pull on the nineteenth green and thereby lost the match. Joseph Morrill '28 took the other extra-hole match from Williams, the second Purple player.

Two-somes Blaney (W) defeated J. A. Hutchinson '28 1 up, 19th hole; Joseph Morrill '28 defeated Williams (W) 1 up, 19th hole; J. W. Hutchinson '30 defeated Smith (W), 3 and 2; Heller (W) defeated C. L. Stover '30, 2 and 1. O. L. Winston '30 defeated Fall (W) 4 and 2; Wheeler (W) defeated J. W. Flloon '29.

Four somes J. A. Hutchinson and Morrill defeated Blaney and Williams 1 up, J. V. Hutchinson and Stover defeated Smith and Heller 3 and 2. Winston and Flloon defeated Fall and Wheeler 1 up.
