The annual Harvard invitation Regatta for oarsmen in the University will get under way this afternoon with the events scheduled to take place on the Charles River Basin. A 4.30 o'clock, the Junior 150-pound eights will race over a mile course, with Lothrop Withington '11 and H. W. Robbins '19, referces for the Regatta, starting this initial contest. At 15 minute intervals after the Junior event, the Senior lightweight boats and the Senior singles will get away from the mark in additional mile competitions.
If the number of entrants in the singles race make preliminary heats necessary, these will be rowed at the time scheduled for the final event.
