Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
With a record of thirteen victories and only three defeats, these at the hands of powerful nines, the Villanova baseball team travelling up from Pennsylvania for contests with several local aggregations, will clash with the Harvard diamond forces on Soldiers Field at 5 o'clock this afternoon. The late starting time, the H. A. A. announced, is an experiment to see if more spectators will be able to watch the contest.
For one of the few times this season, the Crimson team will face the slants of a southpaw hurler. Hensil, slated to pitch for the Main Liners, has performed very creditably during the spring campaign, having won six out of seven starts. Among the nines that his teammates have defeated are Princeton, Cornell, Boston College, and Lehigh.
F. B. Cutts '28 is Coach F. G. Mitchell's choice for duty in the box this afternoon. Cutts, stellar relief twirler in the last two Yale series, has steadied down a great deal this season and is capable of travelling the full route. Dur- ing his nine innings of action against the strong Quantico Marines, he allowed only two safe hits. He also pitched well in the openers against Boston University, Trinity, and New Hampshire State.
With 13 clashes behind it, the University baseball team is about to embark on the most difficult half of its schedule Losing only two contests so far, it has pounded the opposing hurlers for a total of 161 safe blows. The Crimson players have, during the season, tallied 149 runs, while their opponents have crossed the plate 45 times
