SECOND BASEBALL TEAM WILL MEET M. I. T. BEAVERS TODAY

Crimson Favored in Second Encounter With Engineers

The hard-hitting second team baseball nine will face the M. I. T. Beavers this afternoon in its fifth contest of the season. So far the University seconds have won three games, bowing only to the strong St. Anselm's College aggregation.

The second team has shown remarkable power at the bat in its games this season, having collected a high total of runs in defeating three opponents, and losing its one game after having it apparently clinched only to be humbled by an eleventh-hour rally by the St. Anselm sluggers.

The seconds have already humbled the Engineers once this season, but only after a hotly contested battle. The final score of 4 to 3 indicates the equality of the two teams and points to a very close contest this afternoon. In the last game a seventh-inning Tech rally failed by the meager margin of one run to tie the score and send the game to extra innings.

Either E. L. Molloy '29 or E. A. Colpak '29 will be on the mound for the Crimson today. Both have shown good form to date and whichever one does not start will be ready to serve in the relief role.
