Elections of the Harvard Debating Council were held at a meeting last night, when the following officers were chosen for next year: president, J. K. Fairbank '30; vice-president, Victor K. Kwong '29; secretary, J. M. Swigert '30; manager, L. S. Bryant '29; assistant manager, J. K. Hurd '30.
Twenty new men were admitted to the Council at this meeting, the requirement for admission being participation in a debate on a University team during the past season.
It was also announced that Harvard will remain in the Eastern Intercollegiate Debating League next year, of which it won the championship, this year. A debate with the Harvard Chinese debating team on some subject relevant to the East is being planned for next fall.
