Coach Mitchell Will Choose Players for Sonthern Trip in Day or So--1931 Team B Defeats Team A

Both the University and Freshman baseball teams were able to take to outdoor diamonds yesterday afternoon for the first practice games of the training season. Owing to the rather soft condition of the turf, the Harvard nine, confined to the cage since last Tuesday when it went out for a brief session of batting practice, did not use the regular diamond, but limited itself to one of the class fields.

No cut in the squad has been made as yet, but within the next day or two Coach Mitchell will choose the players who will journey south during the spring recess. The two University teams lined up as follows:

The Freshman nines, outside for the first time, played an informal six inning game, in which team B defeated team A by a 6 to 2 score. The line-ups follow:
