UNIVERSITY TEAM MEETS MAINE NINE

Pine Tree State Players Dropped Game Yesterday to Brown University by Score of 9 to 3

A strong Harvard baseball team will face a comparatively weak Maine nine this afternoon on Soldiers Field at 4 o'clock. Yesterday Brown University turned back the Maine forces 9 to 3.

Rawlings, the star Bruin hurler, allowed the Maine team only three hits and while he was in the game held the Pine Tree State nine scoreless.

F. B. Cutts '28 is slated to pitch for the Crimson nine today, with Willard Howard '28 waiting to relieve the veteran of two Yale series. Either Peaks or Wass will do mound duty for the Maine outfit.

R. C. Sullivan '28, regular short stop on the University team, is giving a strained arm as long a rest as possible. If the necessity arose, Sullivan could be used in the Crimson infield but Coach F. G. Mitchell prefers to let his veteran recover entirely to prevent a recurrence of his injuries later in the season.
