Preparations for the annual handicap track meet and the forty-third Interscholastics, both of which will be held in the Stadium at the end, of next week, are being completed.

Entry blue books for the handicap meet have been placed in the Locker Building, Leavitt and Peirce's and the Divinity, Law, and Business Schools. All men in the University are eligible to enter this contest. Entries should be listed this week in order to facilitate the assignment of handicaps.

The trial heats in the 100-yard dash, 120-yard high hurdles, 220-yard dash, 220-yard low hurdles, broad jump, high jump, pole vault, shot put, and javelin, will be run off May 4. The finals in these events and the half-mile, mile, and two-mile, will occur May 5.

The Interscholastics will be run off on May 5 following the completion of the University handicap meet. After a canvass of the 300 schools invited to compete, special rules have been made for three short distance events. In the 440-yard dash two separate races will be run, and the places will be determined by comparing the times of the first five men in each race. In the 220-yard dash and the 220-yard low hurdles two men will qualify from each at the trial heats. The five place winners will be picked from the leaders in the two final heats by comparing times.

Medals will be awarded for all five places this year, instead of only for the first three as formerly. These will be of watch charm size; gold for first silver for second, and bronze for the last three places.
