INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL HOLDS FINAL MEETING

COUNCIL HAS MET MONTHLY TO DISCUSS FOREIGN QUESTIONS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Approximately 50 men will be present at the final banquet of the International Council in the Phillips Brooks House tonight at 7.15 o'clock. The occasion will be very informal and no special topic has been set for discussion.

Among the guests who are expected to attend are Professor Manley O. Hudson, of the Law School, Professor G. H. Chase '96, dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and Matthew Luce, Regent.

Alger Hiss 21, chairman of the Council, will preside at the meeting. Throughout the year the Council has met once a month to discuss questions of international interest, treating international law, prohibition, disarmament, and similar problems.

About 40 nationalities are represented in the council, aside from the American delegates and guests who take part in the discussions. The work of the International Council is under the auspices of the Foreign Student Committee of the Phillips Brooks House Association.

Plans are already under way for the continuation of the activities of the International Council for next year, according to Hiss. An unofficial delegate may attend the model Congress for international delegates to be held next April at Amherst College, but there will be no representatives in any official capacity, it was announced.
